Jim Schloss
Founder and CEO
Jim Schloss is highly regarded as one of the most intuitive and disciplined executive recruiters. After earning his Bachelors degree from the University of New Mexico, he served as Captain in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, Jim entered the hospitality field.
Jim has over 25 years of hospitality experience. He managed full service hotels and created, owned, and operated one of Northern California’s most popular and successful restaurants – Birk’s Restaurant. Jim served as President of the Austin Hotel and Motel Association and as a Board Member of the California Restaurant Association. In addition, he was Vice Chairman of the Santa Clara Convention & Visitors Bureau. Jim has spoken at the International Food Service Manufacturing Association in Chicago and various other industry functions.
Jim resides on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas with his wife. He enjoys golfing, taking the boat out with his family, gardening, watching his favorite sports teams, and cooking.

Julie Schloss Lerma
VP of Marketing & Business Development
Julie has spent 12 years in marketing, sales, licensing & business development working at leading consumer product companies and corporations such as Mattel, Saban Brands, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Most recently, she led Disney international marketing at Jakks Pacific where she grew the company's international presence in Latin America and Asia.
Julie's entrepreneurial drive and interest in executive recruiting and hospitality led her to Schloss & Associates. Her marketing expertise and business development background are crucial to stay ahead of recruiting trends, while her professionalism and relationship building skills help cultivate Schloss & Associate's existing partnerships to match our clients with the best possible candidates. Julie graduated with a Business & Marketing degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
Julie recently moved to Bend, OR from Manhattan Beach, CA with her husband and cockapoo, Barry. Julie enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, paddle boarding and skiing at Mt. Bachelor.
